The boat heads south from the Alster area through historic locks and glides along the Rivers Elbe and Dove-Elbe past fields, meadows and greenhouses through the marshy landscape of the Vierlande region. This is where Hamburg's vitamins grow. The journey continues past the regatta and rowing course and the Eichbaum Lake towards Bergedorf to the Serrahn, a former industrial port to the east of Hamburg.
